Call to Artists - ArtistsRegistry.com Annual Members Juried Exhibition
Artists’ Reception will be Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 6 - 9 PM at CityArts Factory in the Community Gallery in downtown Orlando during the Third Thursdays Art Walk.
CityArts Factory is located at 29 S. Orange Ave., Orlando FL. 32801.
This is a FREE Event. Artwork will be on display from November 16 – December 15, 2017. Make NO payments to the gallery. Payments are to be made to ArtistsRegistry.com.
Exhibition Judge: Beverlee Ahlin
Deadline to apply is Sunday, November 5, 2017.
Submission Requirements: All entries MUST be ORIGINAL works and available for sale with a twenty-five percent commission to the gallery. Gallery wrapped canvases will be accepted. All artwork to be hung MUST be wired for hanging. Paintings, Drawings and Photography cannot exceed 60” framed. Sculpture cannot exceed 60” in width. Height on sculpture can be more. Exceptions to sizes of artwork may be made on a case by case basis. Shipped artwork MUST include prepaid return shipping, packaging and insurance.
Delivery Date: All gallery ready, original artwork must arrive between 11 AM and 6 PM Tuesday, November 14, 2017 to be included. Contact CityArts Factory at 407-648-7060 for early drop off availability but no guarantee can be made for your artwork by Artists Registry.
Load out: Pick up Artwork Saturday December 16, 2017 between 11am and 6pm
To enter: Submit three (3) digital images of artwork, jpg images on a CD or by e-mail and include a list of 3 images including title, medium, size and price and jpg file names. Entry fee of $30 is nonrefundable. Membership dues MUST be current to qualify. To determine your membership date, log into your account. To become a member, visit our membership page. No insurance is provided by the gallery or Artists Registry.

Jurors: A panel of three arts professionals will select the artists and artwork.

Beverlee Ahlin was educated at Boston University, the Corcoran College of Art + Design with Gene Davis of the Washington Color Field Painters, Sumi-E Brushwork with Keiko Hiratsuka, and Sous Chef for Julia Child on the French Chef TV series. A former pilot and consultant to the President’s Aviation Commission, she served for a dozen years as VP Congressional Liaison of USAirways in the nation’s capitol.
One day, however, at the age of 40, she chucked the Amelia Earhart life for the Georgia O’Keefe life and did what she always wanted to do --- Just Paint!
She founded an inner city school in Washington, DC, the Boat House Art School, was Adjunct Professor at Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida for 10 years, and Artist-In-Residence a the Art & History Museums in Maitland. Her own art study tours in the United States and abroad have included Copenhagen, Purtugal’s Algarve, France/painting in Monet’s Giverny Gardens, Assisi and Venice, Italy, as well as Workshops across the United States. Among them, several islands - Whidby, Mackinac & Monhegan Island, Maine, C&O Canal, DC, and Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu, New Mexico.
Distinguished by numerous awards, Ahlin’s work has been widely exhibited both nationally and internationally in museums. She has had 40 solo shows and her paintings hang at Universal Studios in Florida, the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC, in three Embassies there, and in the private collections, most recently that of Actors Robert Stack and Richard Chamberlain, Baryshnikov, the dancer, Emily & Glenn Tremml of Vero Beach, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Montgomery, Palm Beach.
She is a frequent juror of watermedia competitions. Ahlin’s work is at the watergate gallery, Washington, DC, the Lupine Gallery on Monhegan Island, she is a Past President of the Florida Artists Group, American Watercolor Society, Associate member of Florida Watercolor Society and is listed in “Who’s Who of American Women”.
