Photography is a way to explore, experience and express the life that surrounds me. It is a means by which to hold life before the eye of the spirit and to absorb it to the very core of my being. To photograph is to reveal to others how I interpret the wonder of creation, both natural and man made, through the light and shadow of everyday life. It is my desire, even mission, to express to those who view my work not just how things look photographed, but to perhaps reveal to them the soul and essence of the subject. I hope that those who view my photography will not just see the image for what it appears to be, but also for what else it is. I photograph to open the eyes of the soul, allowing one to experience a stilled image in time, to hold it in the heart and the spirit if only for a moment.
